    What's the Row of Little Icons?

    It looks like everything I download places a small icon in a row at the very top of the screen. Why are they there and how do I get rid of them?

    There's a setting in the Play Store "Auto add widgets" ... Untick that box and future apps installed will not show up on your home screen. You'll have to manually remove the ones already there.

    How do I manually remove them? I even have the little arrow pointing down to a line from downloading files.

    Ohhhh ... I think you're talking about the status bar! You can just swipe down on that top bar and there should be a "clear" button.
