Exclamation Galaxy Tab Has Gone Dark

I purchased a Tab from Verizon yesterday. I installed the Lux Auto Brightness app and had it set to Manual. I then turned down the brightness and went below 0%. The screen is now completely dark.

I attempted to reboot. It will not reboot.

I let the battery die. It will not boot to a visible screen.

The only thing that I can do is see the volume slider when I hit the power button. Otherwise, it's useless.

I've contacted the owner of the app and get default answers about rebooting, etc. I went back to the Verizon store and they will not assist. Anyone able to help???

Welcome to the forum Gravelhighway. I've used Lux before, it sounds as if you've completely shut off the display light. If you remember where the display slider is in the notification area, I would try sliding your finger to the right, and see if you can turn it back on. Let us know if you find a solution.

Yes, auto updating the apps can be turned off by opening the Play Store app then tap the icon upper left then settings. Should be listed there. Just uncheck the box.
