Question Do You Like Lollipop? Sticking to KitKat

The UK got Lollipop a couple of days ago, but after watching a few Youtube video`s of it on the 10.5" i decided against upgrading for the moment.

What i did want was the ability for third-party apps to work 100% with the microsd, nothing else really appealed to me

Also reports that the Battery does not last as long, lagginess, flash led problem, too much white in the settings, touchscreen problems for some after upgrading.

I managed to get KingRoot to root my T800 10.5" , I had tried a couple of weeks ago, both the apk version and the pc version, both failed.

A new version of KingRoot was released and i worked, and my Knox was still showing as Valid, Now i had root i installed a sdcard fix from the google play and now my microsd is working great.

So since white eats the battery on oled displays and the stock apps and the settings menu are virtually all white i decided to stick with KitKat.

I love the saturated color of the oled display when watching video`s, but browsing really kills the battery because of all that white, so i have been looking for browsers with good nightmode.

And KitKat was totally stable for me, I had my 10.5" T800 running for over 260 days straight, and i had zero crashes and i did not reboot or turn the tablet off once.

So I really love my 10.5" T800, I just wish the battery life was better as i seem to be charging it every day.

Welcome to the site. I'm waiting on getting a new device until I read that the reported bugs are fixed. Of course, this excuse could probably go for the next OS version too.

Thanks for the great welcome guy`s and gal`s

Well i am still on kitkat and still see no reason to upgrade to lollipop, kitkat is stable as anything, no problems at all.

I am looking forward to Android M, quite a few nice features, but i will wait to see the reviews, though i think i might have to wait for it, to be ported to the S1 as i don't think the S1 is going to get official Android M and flashing a rom is the only way to get it.

I agree. Lollipop is not the big deal they made it sound like. M will be.
