    Tab A 8.0 Screen Issues

My son has a tab A 8.0 and he cracked the original digitizer. I bought a replacement but I am having issues getting the screen connector to stay in place. I get it to where I think it is on correctl, test it with everything working but then after I put the back on part of the screen stops working. Last night I sanded away some of the inside of the back cover where the connector for the digitizer is and everything was working fine after reassembly. Today however, the entire screen is unresponsive. Is there a trick to getting the connector on correctly or did I more than likely get a defective replacement? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Got it figured out. Just had to be more aggressive with the force when making the connection.
