Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Reboots Every 1 -2 Minutes After a Couple Weeks of Usage

I recently received a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 from my wife for Xmas. It is from Verizon and has 412 sch 1015 Ker 3031. A week after using the device it would continuously reboot. It boots up to the home page and you can use it for about 30 seconds and than it just reboots again. I held the power button down and did a clear cache that didn't work than a restore to factory settings a couple times. The system is still rebooting. I have finally decide to see if I can get this thing working any help is appreciated.

Does anyone have detailed instructions on what I need to do? Is there a new version of the OS that I can load? Thank you in advance for any help.
