WiFi Connected, But Internet Not Working

Hi,
I am having this problem on my samsung tab 2 gt-P5110 . I upgraded it to the recent version via Kies and now the wifi connects but the internet is not working at all. neither browser nor the applications work. i have reset my device and read numerous forums for it but it hasnt been of any use. Also this problem is with my home network only. It connects to my office network and works. But the strange thing is my laptop works on my home network perfectly fine. I know there is some problem with the settings . If some one can help me to connect to the home network, trust me I will be really glad for the help.

I have a link below that has some suggestions for WiFi problems as they are so common. The first thing you may want to consider is setting a fix IP and DNS in your home connection. Long press the connection and go to the advanced settings.
