Tablet horiz lines blurry text and jumps like crazy

I am completely aware of the previous thread addressing a similar problem and about how the poster re-inserted his LCD cable tightly.

This did NOT work for me.

My tablet starts up fine, but within 1 or 2 minutes the display degrades to a point where the unit won't even function as a door stop.


Any ideas? I have not done a system restore, not sure even how.

Welcome to the forum ap17. A factory reset would be one way of finding out if your problem is a hardware or software issue. [HOW TO] Factory Reset your Samsung Tablet will give you a step by step guide.

Tried the reset, the screen doesn't jump but after warm up still shows horizontal lines progressing to a point where the tablet wouldn't even function as a brick.

Not sure whats wrong, and not planning on spending a dime on such an old unit.

I think that's a wise decision, sounds like a faulty digitizer. Anyway, upgrades are fun!
