Emails showing subject but no content

Can anyone advise with this annoying problem?
I have email set up as an IMAP account on my tablet. Most of the time everything is fine, but sometimes I can see only the subject line and no content. To read the email I have to go into webmail, which is really fiddly on the tablet. There doesn't seem to be any logic to which emails don't show properly- it's a variety of email addresses, sometimes which are fine and sometimes not.
I've tried deleting my account from the tablet and setting it up again from scratch but that didn't work. I've got the latest software updates.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this and do you have any suggestions?

    Welcome to the forum

If the problem is as selective as you say it is you may want to see if another mail client exhibits the same problem. Try K-9 mail. You may want to see if clearing the cache in the stock mail client would help.

I installed K9 mail and that works, and that seems much better than the stock mail anyway. Thanks Leeshor for the tip!

I knew it was better, didn't want to influence your decision, Glad it's working.
