    Wifi icon question

sometimes my wifi icon will turn gray, with full bars, but seems to work fine.
Sometimes it has what looks like a lightning bolt in it when the Tab is transferring data but the icon is blue. I figure that is normal and a way for it to show moving data but the icon turning gray has me stumped
    Thank you

I'm still trying to figure out the gray/blue switchup as well, my theory is that blue is secured networks and gray is unsecured but I haven't had a chance to test my theory out.

haha I have finally found the answer courtesy to the online manual .pdf, http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/co...SER_MANUAL.pdf, pg. 17 states that: Note: Network status icons turn blue if you have a Google Account added to your tablet and the tablet is connected to Google services for syncing your Gmail, Calendar events, contacts, backing up your settings, and so on. If you do not have a Google Account or if, for example, you are connected to a Wi-Fi network that is not connected to the Internet, the network icons are gray.

I just downloaded that PDF and i cant find the statement you mentioned by cloud.
Just today i been having the problem of no blue bars. Rebooting seems to solve the problem.
I have WiFi analyzer installed and when there are no blue bars, analyzer shows the signal to be at least -30db. Plus my router is less than 2 feet from the Tab.

This is good info. Thanks! I never realized I could be connected to the internet and not connected to Google services. This does explain some behaviors with my contacts I couldn't figure out.
