Question Can't Play Some Movies on My 10.1

    Hi

Please forgive me if I am being stupid (it would not be the first time.......)

I have got some Blu-Ray movies which came with a digital copy. I followed the instructions and copied to my PC through Media Player, where it can be viewed perfectly. However, I cannot view the same movie on my 10.1 after copying across using a USB stick. I've downloaded lots of movie players but all have similar problems - either an error message comes up saying that the video cannot be played, or it tries to play it, but I get a lot of distortion over the screen.

Should I be converting these movies to a different format on my PC before transfer? I have DIVX so could use that if that is what is suggested (I've not tried that yet).

Anyway, any help would be most gratefully received

    Paul

I had the same problem. The digital copy did not play on my galaxy tab 10.1.

I downloaded a different player ... "MX Player" from the play store.

Everything runs great now... this thing plays everything... well.

Thanks. I have got mx but no joy. I read in another forum about a program called handbrake which you use on your PC to change the format of the movie. Has anyone else used this or anything similar? I will try this later today and post an update!

The digital copy typically comes with drm which requires either a plug in or a drm enabled player so likely most generic android players cant play them. Handbrake lets you transcode the file to a non drm and more frienly mp4 format you can play with android
