App 2 SD - Work with Tab 10?

I downloaded APP 2 SD to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Google Play said it was compatible. But when I start it says I have no external storage. I have an 32GB card installed.

Anyone use APP 2 SD?? I'd like to know what I can move to the storage card.

    Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum

I don't know why that app always appears as compatible with tablets, it's not. It was never intended to be used with any Android tablet. It can be used in some cases but it requires rooting and basic system modification modification that you may not want to get near.

As far as I know, there is not a good way to make it work. A lot of the reason is that each tablet OEM has their external storage mount to the file structure in a different place so it is difficult for app devs to know where your external storage is mounted to move an app there. Also, IMO, most devices now have enough internal storage for apps. I have a 16 GB tablet (13 GB usable) and I think I have maybe 3 GB of apps on it. If you do a LOT of 3D gaming, it could be an issue but for most users it should not matter too much.

Thanks. Then do you use the extra 32gb sd card just for storing data like ebooks, photos, music??

Exactly, external storage is for media and such. I have a 64 GB microSD and a 64 GB SD card in my tablet for movies, music and media on the go. I keep documents and apps on my internal memory.
