How to Move Files and Pictures

New to the galaxy 10.1. I see the icon called my files under the app screen. There is a picture folder but it is empty and i cant seem to figure out how to move any of the pictures i have taken into this folder or into a new folder that i have created.
Thanks in advance for the helpq

Hmm..You gotta select a file in "My Files" section..Upon selecting a file u will get a banner on the top with few options..Select the "COPY" option and then go to the folder u want and paste it there..That's how it works..

U can select the pic or any file that u want to move and hold the file to drag it into folder that u want. Also work for multiple file selected.

Hi - I am a new user to the GT 10.1 and I may be a little slow on the uptake, but when I select a file or screenshot under myfiles that I want to copy or delete, I do not get a banner across the top of my screen with any options to copy or delete the selection. I have figured out how to delete photos, but they do not show up in the camera files. How can I get rid of these accidental or test screen shots?
    Thanks in adv,

Long press on the file and options should pop up

In "My Files" app, put a check mark next to the file (select) and the banner of options will show at the top. Or... long press and drag n drop.

If your Tab doesn't gave My Files app in it there are several very good free ones on the market. My personal favorite on my Tab is File Manager HD but I also use Astro because it's my favorite on my phone.

My Files was new in the 3.2 update. Look in your Settings under About Device> Android Version.

I have 3.1 - is this update to 3.2 automatic OTA? (I have Android phone as well (D'Inc.) - updated to Froyo no problem but had to root to get GB.)

BTW downloaded a nice app called File Station for the tab.
