Can't Connect to House Wi-Fi, but Coffee Shop Wi-Fi Works Great

A first time poster...thanks in advance for ideas. As I posted in title, my new Gal10.1 finds wi-fi at the coffee shop, but not at home (My laptop gets it fine). Used laptop setting to set up tablet...Thoughts?

    Again, thanks

The only thing that comes to mind is that you made an error entering the information in the wi-fi setup. An typo in the password is easy enough to do.

    Welcome to the forum
    Agreed, check your settings again.
A couple of other possibilities would be the security settings, try wpa, or if it's a dual band router and set to 5.0ghz try setting to 2.4ghz.
If your laptop is set to a static IP try setting the Tab to Dynamic instead. Static is 1 specific IP address and if the laptop already owns that one the Tab can't use it and Dynamic is a changing IP address and the Tab will find one to use on its own

I wouldn't use the laptop settings at all.
I would connect like you did in the coffee shop and just see the network and enter the key. You should then connect and be fine.

Go to settings and wifi and press the ssid and select forget.. then clickon it again and it should ask you enter the credentials. Then try to reconnect.

I think this is the fact of your home WiFi because the shop's is professionally and they need a high speed and good performance internet and every thing for their shops so this is why your WiFi is connect on coffee shop and does not connect with your home's WiFi and the shops are also need for the good display and front so they have add the always good information in their shops....

    My sister is in Lanzarote.

The house that she is staying at has wi-fi connection but her 7510 Samsung galaxy times out before connection. She has tried 4 coffee shops and bars. same problem.

Any help on this site would be greatly appreciated before she comes home in 2 weeks
