Screen Unlock
Mornin all, figured it would be a good idea to "password" protect the screen, now, not sure I want it and am having a difficult time after googleing, to find a way to get rid of the "password and just boot normally, what am I missing? lol.

Simply go to Settings>Lock screen, and choose "none."

Very strange, on all three of my devices, S4, Note 8 and Note 10.1 2014, there is a "none" option in Settings>Lock Screen.

Maybe it is because it is the early model, first model?. I know there has to be a way, but, have exhausted any way I try to change it. Thanks for your help.

Hang in there, I'll alert some of the other (techier) mods, to see if they can help! I've always configured mine to "none," but maybe once you lock it, you turn off that option, as a security option.

thanks again, that would be great to find a way to do this, I've gone back several times and punched buttons , looked everywhere, and don't find a solution.

I'm going to take a WAG at this. If you already have it password protected you would need to go to the security/password settings and first put in your old password to gain access to the ability to make any changes.
