Samsung Galaxy Tab Boots Immediately to Android System Recovery
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab Gt-P1010. Whenever it's turned on, it boots immediately to Android System recovery. Normally I would select reboot system now or factory reset using the home key, but the home button is completely unresponsive after 10 times. None of the other 3 buttons on the bottom (menu, back, search) respond
either, though I doubt they're programmed to while in recovery mode, but correct me if I'm wrong. I suspect I have a dead touch screen and have no problem buying and
installing a replacement but I wanted another opinion(s) before spending the money and time. Has not been dropped or cracked and does not have liquid damage. Any
advise is very welcome and appreciated. Have a good one!
I'm not positive you have the problem you think you do but I could be wrong. The soft functions don't typically work when that happens but the volume button should. Up or down to select the function then the other direction tto execute it.

This is a shot in the dark
Yeah I tried that and all it ever did was make the highlighter move up and down the list. I did find a youtube video (watch?v=Wg9JgWf9YaY) for the tab where the guy pressed the home button and that selected what was highlighted. Regrettably my home button does not respond. I took a photo of the screen, hope it helps. Think a screen replacement is worth it?

1. Power off your device completely.
2. Press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power buttons simultaneously.
3. Release the buttons when the phone’s screen flickers or the Stock / CWM / TWRP Recovery logo appears.
4. That is it, after you release buttons, you will be taken to the main Recovery Mode menu.
5. Use its settings to apply any tasks you wish in order to improve your Galaxy operating system.
6. To reboot back to normal Galaxy mode, you need to return to the first Recovery screen and select ‘reboot system’.
That’s it, booting into Recovery Mode for Samsung Galaxy is easy.

1 Connect your Android phone and enable USB debugging
2 Analyze your Android phone with Android Recovery
After the USB debugging, reconnect your phone if you are asked to disconnect it during the setting. Here you need to bear in mind that your phone's battery is more than 20% charged, and then you can click "Start" to let the program analyze your Android phone.
3 Scan your Android
4 Preview and recover from Android
Hope this will help you much.
