Tip Of The Day
Based on several posts recently I have a suggestion, (or 2, or 3) lol
If possible, do not move anything to your Galaxy Tablet. Always copy from some other location so you will automatically have a backup.
If you create something on your Galaxy Tablet, either sync it with a computer as soon as possible or use one of the fine cloud storage options to save it. See this great thread for some options.
For those of you who have had their children accidentally try to many times to unlock their Galaxy Tablet - set WiFi to stay on in settings then install Auto Airplane Mode, (by DON) to keep it off when sleeping to save the battery. Your WiFi will connect before you even get the unlock code in which would allow you to use your Google credentials to get your Galaxy unlocked.
Last tip for today. Don't wait for your tablet to notify you of updates to your app. Check it proactively every day and after every 5 app updates restart your tablet.

Dear Mr. Leeshor,
We had one tip - but we are five days further on now - and we have been left bereft of further tips...
This is not tip-top & may well tip me over the edge & may even lead to excessive consumption making me tipsy.
Let's not tip-toe around this any further... Where oh where are the last five days worth of tips?

OK, another tip. Never use any type of cleaner to clean your touch screen, not ever. Use a micro fiber cloth and if absolutely necessary spray a small amount of water on the cloth, not the screen.
The ONLY exception would be to use a spray intended for touch screens and even then never spray directly on the screen.

And a further tip from me
There is no need to power off your tablet device when you are not using it. These devices are designed to be left on 24/7 so that they respond instantly to a simple tap on the power button.
If you are not going to be using your tablet for perhaps a couple of days, then it is worth powering down completely. Other than that, just leave them on, but with the screen off. A monthly power cycle is worth doing (power off & then on again) for stability purposes.

Today's tip
We all pretty much know we get frequent app updates from the various stores, (Google and Amazon), but how many pay attention to the individual change logs? (I do). The updates frequently add features and additional options. For those apps you use regularly it would be a good idea to go through all the options that app has available, especially after an update. 1) You may find something you forgot the app could do and 2) You will find options you didn't know where added that may help you use the app more efficiently.

Battery Life Tip
Lithium Battery longevity is enhanced by frequent small charges rather than less frequent large charges.
As the batteries in the Tab range are not really user replaceable, you are more likely to get a lengthier lifespan from your battery if you charge it regularly - perhaps overnight - than you are if you allow the battery to be used down to 10-15% and then do a full recharge.
You cannot overcharge your device as both the Tab & the charger are "intelligent" and stop charging when a battery is full.
Every 6-8 weeks a full discharge (down to 10-15%) - recharge cycle is also advisable to maintain the accuracy of the reading of your battery level by Android.
