    Touchscreen doesn't respond after change

    Hi there,
I changed the glass on my Tab2.
After that the touch screen stops to respond to touches.
The display is ok but i'm only able to move by the three physical switches on the top of the tablet.
I also tried with the factory reset, but now i'm stucked on the language selection

I know it is not a new item but, please, what i can do to (try to) solve??

Why the flat cable is 80pins large only for the touchscreen????

    Welcome to the forum

There are a lot of post where parts of the display, either the glass or digitizer was replaced and something didn't work. There is no easy answer. Some people find that the ribbon cable was dislodged somehow but often it ends up that some other component failed.

Best suggestion, is to disassemble check everything and reassemble. Then cross your fingers.

Yes, i read some messages ...
I'm wondering if there was an internal tool to test the TS ..
Is there a way to connect a USB mouse, instead of the TS?
I don't want to waste the tablet cause the TS

    Thanks

There is what's called an OTG cable available if you don't have a working USB port. The OTG cable allows you to connect stuff like a thumb drive, not positive about a mouse.

Thanks, I'll try with a USB cable.

Reading about the number of failures on replacing the glass and TS, I'm wondering if there is only a particular version of screen that runs on Tab2 ...

    Hi there!!

I tested the OTG cable and a mouse and it was ok

I also tested a new TS, the one with a golden cable and the sign 'EXPRESSO 10' on it.
    This one is OK !!!!

Now I'm very happy, hope this information will be useful for other users !!!!!

    BYE!!
