    Dropbox

Hi, I'm new here. I've had my Tab for a little over a week and love it so far. I have Dropbox but when I want use the pics the only choice that shows (say I want to use them in a wallpaper) is what's in my gallery. Is there a way to move pics from Dropbox to the gallery or to make Dropbox available to other apps? Ican move a pic one at a time but that would take forever. I hope this question makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

    Welcome to the forum
In the Dropbox app, tap the picture you want and choose share by tapping the box with an arrow coming out of it. It's going to be in the upper right corner. Choose discard and it'll download the photo onto your Tab. Dropbox is a cloud storage app so until you download your media to a device it's in the Dropbox cloud.

Thanks for your answer. When I do this there is no option to discard. You made it sound simple and , yet, I still can't get it. Any more ideas. Thanks again,

I am soooo sorry. I missed the misspell in auto suggest. It should have been Export, not discard.
    Again I apologize.

I am experiencing a similar issue to the one with photos in Dropbox. I figured out how to "export" to the Gallery but can't seem to make the photos "stay put" i the gallery. After I export one it opens up in the gallery for viewing then I return to Dropbox to get the next photo, export it to the Gallery and can view it there but the first photo is no longer there. How do I develop an album of photos in the Gallery from photos I have in Dropbox and have them stay in the Gallery?

Gallery only shows media on your tablet. You should copy the photos from dropbox and put them in a folder on your internal storage. Perhaps in the /sdcard/Pictures/AlbumName/?

Then they will appear in Gallery under AlbumName.

Cool. Gallery does not always update, check out the app RescanMedia to force a new scan for Gallery.

Another idea would be to get the app QuickPic - an excellent photo viewer that makes Gallery look as if it was written in the dark ages
