    [SOLVED] Screen Capture Disappeared

All of a sudden my screen capture short cut on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 disappeared, despite of my all efforts, I am unable to locate it. How can it be retreived and installed. I have wasted money on purchasing screen capture shortcuts on google, but at last it says that the screen capture short cut is not compatible

    ---ADDED BY EDIT---
    • The Samsung screenshot shortcut has been removed by Samsung in firmware/OS updates.
    • As far as we know, there is no way to get it back
    • To take a screen shot, press the power & volume down keys together. When you get the timing right, you'll hear a "camera shutter sound" & the screenshot will be notified to you in the notifications area.

    Welcome to the forum

This disappeared with the update to Jelly Bean - personally I was pleased as my 82 year old mum who uses the Tab 2 7.0 kept tapping it by mistake

Tis no great drama though, just press the power & vol down keys together & you should get a screenshot just as you did before.

    Welcome to the forum!

From a thread at XDA, it says to hold VOL DOWN and LOCK/POWER for about 3 seconds to take a screenshot. I find that on my JB tablet that if I hit LOCK just before it keeps the VOL box from popping up when I run this sequence.

I have this problem too. I am angry because that was my favorite feature. There is not a "quick launch" option when I go to settings --> display. Any other suggestions?

The power + volume down thing works, but I'd really like to have my shortcut back.

    Welcome to the forum

I'm do not believe that the Quick Launch setting mentioned is available now. I guess you will just have to use the key combination which, for convenience's sake, works on any Android device running ICS onwards so will become second nature to you after a while and be a useful thing to move forward with.

    re: [SOLVED] Screen Capture Disappeared

If your from ICS to JellyBean and found something missing.

Backup and do "factory reset". There are major jump between this two version. It's will resolve the issue..

But it's a pain a set up everything again.
