How Do I Move Apps and Data to the SD Card?
None of the app2sd and similar apps work on the Tab2 7.0. How do I make any use of the 32 GB sd card I have? It has been formatted and 'mounted,' and shows on the storage data, but I can't get anything to move there. If I try to use any of the app2sd apps, the screen just allows OPEN or UINSTALL options.

Can you not just drag and drop stuff in.

Unfortunately, you can't move apps to the SD card (I believe it is a limitation of ICS) but you can certainly store data there such as your videos and photos.

I am just learning that also.
Yesterday I was trying to move my apps on Tab 10.1 since its only a 16gb. I put in the 32gb sd card and thought i was doing something wrong. Apps do take up alot of storage and very unhappy with this.
Actually thinking about returning the Tab 2 and just sticking with my 32gb Tab

I have a new 32gb 10.1 and am pretty sure it only has a built-in "sd card", and you don't move stuff anywhere. Correct me if necessary. Bo

This is so lame. Why can't we install apps on ext SD?
I just bought a Tab 2 7.0 (8Gb) for my son, and soon we realize that
there's no way to move apps to SD. Installing Amazing spiderman
and a few other apps leaves only 2 Gb left on the device.
(It's for my son, you can bet he'll install a lot of games)
This is so lame. Either samsung or google should address this issue.
I can't understand what's the reasoning behind this "feature".
Why can't we decide ourselves where we want to put our apps?
Ridiculous is an understatement.
Had I known this before, I would've bought the 32 Gb version.

It was possible to move apps with Android 3.XXX. I think it is Samsung not Android. We definately need to inundate Samsung about this and get them to change it. I have contacted them once about it.

I thought I read that it's Android -- one of the changes from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich. Don't know why they hobbled apps2sd ... but I'm not happy about it.

According to the stats on a couple of Apps2SD apps they run on Android 2.2 or higher. They don't say anything about not running on 4.0 or higher.

Whose responsible for bonehead sd storage gaff
I contacted the sd2app developer and he told me that it was samsung not android 4. x
I think Samsung wanted to make sure they could block removal of bloatware. In other words I think samsung did this to tighten up some possible holds. Why they would do this to good customers I don't know. All I know is that I will not be recommending this to any of my customers or to any of my friends. Otherwise it's a great product and many things are very simple to use on that I don't understand why samsung made this bonehead move. It doesn't make any long term financial sense.
