How to Stream from GT 2 7.0 to Samsung Tv?

hi I am a newbie and really need some help. I have a samsung tv (unfortunately not smart tv).
I would like to know if the Galaxy Tab2 7" is capable of streaming directly to a tv.

    How do others do this?

I have heard that one could use allshare however I have heard that this isn't very reliable and can cause shuddering.
And I have read that HDMI isn't an option as it is with GT2 10"

So any help would be much appreciated.

    thanks in advance

    Welcome to the forum

    1. Tab 2 7 didn't support HMDI/HDTV out.

    2. All Share, you need Smart TV with DLNA Certifed.

So is what you are saying is that it can't be done with my present tv (as it is not a smart tv) and the GT 2 7.0?

If anyone else has some info that would be great.

I was looking for a way to show the photos & home videos we have from our Android devices onto our large screen TV, but as it is 5 years old (despite being a Panasonic 1080p Plasma) it has no network connectivity. But then I came across this app...

    iMediaShare from the Play Store.

I just tried it - connecting to my TV via my Xbox360 & it worked perfectly.

"It just worked" pretty much sums it up & I will be installing it on all our devices. It works as uPnP or DLNA server I believe & as long as you have something that will accept that protocol connected both to your TV & to your router, then when you connect your Android or iDevice to your network via wifi, you can stream whatever is on your tablet or phone & have it display wirelessly on your TV.

✦ Televisions from Samsung Smart TV (w/ AllShare), LG, Sony BRAVIA Internet TV, Panasonic Viera, Toshiba and many others.
✦ Game consoles: Microsoft XBox 360, Sony PlayStation 3 (no remote control).
✦ Network Media Players: Apple TV, Sony Blu-ray, Popcorn Hour, WD TV Live, and many others.
✦ PC/Mac media servers: Twonky, Windows Media Player, and many others.
✦ Other DLNA/UPnP/AirPlay compliant media players.

For those of us not in the USA, (therefore unable to get some of the channels any other way) it has some pretty nifty TV channels that it can stream as well, like NASA

There is a Lite version of the app which is FREE & a paid version which is the same price on either the Play Store or Apple's App Store. It was 69p / 99c & on offer when I got it, but it is now 3.09

    I was very pleased -

Thanks Janner43! I'll definitely check it out this weekend when I get everything all set up. I've purchased a dongle for my Samsung tv so that it has wifi capability. I'll be picking up the Tablet this weekend. And now I have a direction and plan. Thank you so much!
