Google Play Music app turns itself on

I took the last update & now the "Google Play Music" app turns itself on. I know it's a default "app" on the Tablet, but I want to turn it on when I want to use it. I have an "Android System Info" app & it shows up under the Android apps list. I tried to "uninstall" & it says that it's not in the list of installed applications. I hit the "market" button & it says no results found for "pname;com.google.android.music;main". I hit "manage" & it doesn't respond. I haven't tried "Launch" because I'm just not sure what that will do.

I'm half tempted to "download" the latest version of this app & see if I can delete it.

Has anyone else had this problem & what did they have to do to so solve it?

Welcome to the forum

The Google Music app is a "stock" app so unless you are rooted it cannot be uninstalled. You should be able to find it if you go to the app manager and scroll to all. If it isn't working right you can tap it and tell it to clear the cache and stop it then restart the tablet. If it is set as the default and you don't want it to be also clear settings. You may also be able to disable it on that same screen.
