[SOLVED] Gmail Not Syncing on Tablet When I Leave Home WiFi

    Hi
My Samsung Tablet 2, 7.0 syncs gmail just fine if I sync at home (have a home computer so I know when my email is up-to-date).
However, Gmail does not sync when I am out of the house with the tablet in other WIFI areas and the emails just sent in outbox until I get back home. Is there a setting I need to change? This worked fine until I upgraded the tablet to jelly bean 4.2.2.

    Help, please. Thank you. Jess

    Welcome to the forum Jess

That doesn't sound right at all. I assume you know you are connected to the other WiFi spots and can browse without issues. Have you tried a manual sync? If so, did it do anything?

    Thanks for the quick reply,
I am not very technical, so I apologize - how does one manually sync?
    Thank you.

When in the G-Mail app tap the soft menu key lower right and tap sync. Depending on a lot of variables it may take some time to be reflected in the mail app.

Thanks. I changed some of the sync settings and it now seems to be working. I really appreciate your help.
