Retuned my Thrive for a 10.1

    New member. first post

Just returned my thrive for a 10.1. Convince me I made the right choice. The thrive was fine except for the screen-not great. I am concerned about losing the sd card. The 10.1 adapter attaching at the bottom i believe, not a good spot for movie watching. I ordered a 32-10.1. I have several Samsung products and have always been a fan.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I did a side-by-side comparison of the Thrive and the Samsung Tab 10.1 (and an iPad 2) in a Bestbuy store a couple days ago. The 10.1 screeen was amazing and made the Thrive and iPad screens look dull. I came to the store to buy the Thrive but after comparing the screens and also the wifi download abilities, I bought the Tab 10.1.
Side-by-side, playing a Transformers 3 HD video, the Thrive kept having to rebuffer the video to the point it was unwatchable. The Tab 10.1 and the iPad never had to buffer. I tried other higher resolution videos on the youtube app on both devices with the same results. I'm don't know why the results were different. But, it was enough for me.

Light, smooth bezel edges, and battery life is what convinced me.

seeing as the screen is the part i most interact with, it was number 1 on my list followed by battery life - assuming weveryting else being equal - so the tab 10.1 wins hands down

I had the same problems, thought both units were nice but I decided on the Galaxy Tab because of the screen.

I am glad that I chose to get the tab over the thrive but I had some doubts before reading this thread. Glad to see others who had a hands on experience with the thrive still felt that the tab was the better choice.

Thank you to all who responded. My Tab should be are within the hour. I will post a new thread after a day or two of using the Tab. The lack of a SD Card slot still concerns me. My movie and music collection are pretty large. Can't find the SD adapter for the tab anywhere?

I ordered my adaptor directly from Samsung. It's coming via snail mail so I'm not exactly sure the delivery date. It finally shipped on on 7-12, been on back order for weeks. Now my Samsung stylus has back ordered
