Does 4G LTE version on Verizon also work in 3G only area?

Does anyone know if 4G LTE version coming soon from Verizon will also have 3G CDMA radio as well like their LTE phones? If it works only in LTE covered areas, I won't get it and go for WiFi model.

Welcome to the forum!!! Yes it will work in 3G only areas. I am sure there will be a way to disable the 4G radio so it isn't searching for 4G and eating up more of the battery.

Thanks. That's good to hear. I looked at both Verizon and Samsung sites and they only state 4G LTE capability. So I wasn't sure of it.

BTW, I don't like signing up for 2 year contract. So is it possible to buy it with only month to month payment for 4G? Then if I don't feel need for 4G, I may stop paying for 4G and just use WiFi.

Yeah you can buy full price n not be locked on to 2 year contract

verizon in my area only gives you $100 off the full price if you go with 2 year contract - so might as well get it full price
